Directional Drilling
Directional Drilling is used when trenching and excavating is not practical. We are able to drill up to a 24-inch diameter casing or carrier pipe. This method of drilling saves time, money, and most of the ground remains undisturbed.
Fiber Blowing
Fiber Blowing combines the use of compressed air and hydraulically driven tracks and is one of the safest and efficient methods of installing fiber optic cable. With the most current equipment on the market, HIRE Construction has the abilities to monitor the force exerted on the cable and can adapt to any fiber or duct size. Other fiber optic services include splicing and testing.
Fiber Splicing
We utilize Fujikura 60R Fusion Splicer’s, Exfo FTB 200 OTDRs (SM, MM & CWOM), and AFL (MM & SM) testers for OLS requirements. We are equipped for ISP and OSP fiber optic installation requirements including but not limited to: fusion and mechanical splicing, repairs, and maintenance (aerial and underground). Our equipment is calibrated and in compliance with industry standards. We follow an OSHA based certified safety program. Our Emergency Response teams are on call 24/7/365.
Utilicor Coring
Utilicor allows our staff to gain access to buried utility infrastructures and quickly proceed with a non-destructive hydrovac excavation. If the excavation needs to remain open, a road plate can be placed over the cored hole until it can be permanently bonded.
Hydro Excavation
Hydro Excavation is a safe, non-destructive method of uncovering utility, gas, phone, water, and sewer lines and buried fiber. Pressurized water and vacuum are combined to accurately remove the minimal material necessary for repair or inspection. When compared to conventional digging processes, hydro excavation requires less backfill, labor force, restoration, environmental impact, and overall project cost.
Vibratory Plowing
Vibratory Plowing is a simple and “clean” method of cutting the soil and inserting a cable simultaneously with little disturbance to the surrounding area.
